So I’ve decided to start a travel blog.
Travelling is something I’ve always loved and as Kathy (fiancée) will attest, I’ve repeatedly said over the past number of years that I would start blogging about our adventures, from visiting Kim Jong-un’s favourite cocktail bar in Pyongyang to almost dying of the thirst in the Sahara, from sleeping under the stars in Australia’s outback to eating some brownies in Father Ted’s house in county Clare.

The various sights and sounds encountered, the many characters we’ve met along the way, and the sometimes unexpected situations we’ve found ourselves in have left us with some unforgettable memories and I’m finally putting pen to paper, or at least finger to keyboard.
This isn’t just about where we’ve been though but I also hope to include any tips or useful info we’ve picked up along the way that might help others organise a trip, or maybe even save a few bob.

I hope to be able to update the blog on a regular basis, detailing all the various travels we’ve been on and to kick things off, I will, by the end of the week, have the first part of our five day trip to North Korea. Before you ask if that’s the good one or the bad one, it’s the latter.
